The Committee recommends that the General Insurance Code of Practice be amended to require insurers’ identification of vulnerable customers and training of staff be designed so that customer interaction is compliant with ISO 22458 2022-04, the International Organization for Standardization’s document Consumer vulnerability – Requirements and guidelines for the design and delivery of inclusive service.
